This original still life painting was inspired by four marble pears. Their interchanging colors of red and yellow looked so magnificent that artist had to immortalize them in a painting. After all, such beauty doesn’t last long, especially since these pears are very tasty. This artwork is painted on medium sized 20 inch by 16 inch canvas with high quality acrylic paint, and then varnished. The painting is signed on the side and suitable to be hanged with or without the frame. The artwork is done in complementary colors of yellow and blue palette. The blue with notes of purple fabric in the background creates contrast and makes the pears really pop. In this painting, Oksana is using her favorite technique of creating contrast with texture. The background of this artwork is quite smooth, but the fruits are textured and have visible brush strokes. Additionally, the pears are specifically arranged to make the viewers' eyes move from one pear to another in a circular motion. This creates a circular flow inside a box of a rectangular artwork.
