This painting is an attempt to capture spring feeling before the storm whisks it away. Spring in Texas is the time of turmoil in the skies, and quite often sudden storms hit from above. When Oksana painted this floral watercolor, the storm was about to hit and wipe off majority of the blossoms from the redbud tree. While she was painting, it started to rain, so she made it just in time!
