The waves are always moving, and that movement is the hardest part to capture. In this acrylic painting, the artist has captured that movement well by creating flow between larger and smaller waves. If the viewer is close to the painting, they see the details of the smaller waves. However, taking a step back allows the viewer to see the movement of the entire body of water. The ocean consists of layers of waves, and that's what this painting represents.
