Bodies of water inspired artists for centuries, and Oksana is no exclusion. This creek is located in her neighborhood, and she wanted to paint it for years. Finally, she managed to get out and take a shot at it. The turns and twists of this creek entice the viewers, lead them into the painting. The colors diminish with distance, so the eye is drawn back to the frontal plane where most of the action is happening. There’s some reed and grasses among the banks of the creek in the foreground, and they contain the most detail. This vivid painting is both cheerful and mysterious!
