This painting has a number of colorful objects tied together with a silver fishing line. At the first glance, these objects have nothing in common. However, they represent the artist and her experiences in life.
It's natural for artists to draw inspiration from memories and experiences, and Oksana is no exception. When she was little, she had a favorite colorful rooster at her grandmother's place. She often went fishing in the summer, hence the fishing bobbers in the fog at the top right. The idea of love for cheese was instilled by a cartoon character. Finally, the thread comes down to the green olive that is just plain weird for the little kids, but for sure is memorable.
This painting is a playful take on meaningful things in Oksana's geometrical style. The abstract rooster is a carnival of colorful triangles, which brings the viewer on an adventure through the geometric wonderland. The silver line glimmers in the changing light and draws attention to the unexpected connectivity of these strange objects just like everything in life.
Geometric Rooster is a 24 by 24 inch acrylic painting. It's painted on a stretched gallery wrapped canvas and ready to be hanged. It would look great with or without a frame. Oksana would recommend a black floating frame with a silver accent to complement the silver fishing line.
